Patisserie Pompadour

Patisserie, Tearoom and Lunchroom Pompadour has been around for almost 50 years. The original store in De 9 Straatjes is a beautiful chocolate store and tearoom with original wooden panelling and upholstered walls, giving it a chic and sophisticated feel. The lunchroom on Kerkstraat is more modern and spacious and has deliciously fresh sandwiches and soups.

They have one thing in common though: the high quality, artisanal home made chocolates, made of Valrhona chocolate.

The two Pompadours are completely different in size and style. While the interior of the tearoom on Huidenstraat dates back to the last century and features original wooden panelling and upholstered walls, the lunchroom on Kerkstraat is about three times the size and breathes a modern chic atmosphere. Close to the main museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and Hermitage), it is a perfect place for coffee and cake and/or chocolate, or a more substantial lunch.

All the chocolates and cakes are home made, in a traditional manner, using Valrhona chocolate. They only use raw products that have not been processed yet; instead they make everything from start using basic ingredients.
