Sightseeing & Tours in Amsterdam

There is so much to do and to see in Amsterdam! Amsterdam doesn’t only have museums, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, but also a lot of sights that are more than worthwhile wandering through the city for. Most of them are for free and you can walk or cycle past them.

Amsterdam has 165 canals with a total length of 100 km. Over these canals there are many bridges, some of them are more special than the other ones, such as the Skinny Bridge over the river Amstel or the modern walk bridge Pythonbrug (Python bridge) between Panamakade and Stuurmankade in the Eastern Docklands.

But there are many, many more sights to be seen. We have split up our recommendations in three sections:

Sightseeing in Amsterdam

In this section we give you our best recommendations for sights, special buildings, parks, monuments, bridges and so on, that you can find in the city (centre) of Amsterdam.

Tours & Guided Tours

You can also discover Amsterdam by a (guided) tour on foot, by bike, by cruise and bus. You can choose for tours with a local expert or just discover the city by yourself with the help of a map.
