Tickets
Tickets can be bought at the AUB Ticket office, which is located in the "Stadsschouwburg" (city theatre) on Leidseplein 26 (terrace side to the right). Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 - 18:00 and Sundays from 12:00 - 18:00; or call for information +31 20 795 9950.
Last-minute tickets are available exclusively at the AUB Ticket Shop on Leidseplein, at the VVV Amsterdam Tourist Office (inside the NZH Koffiehuis opposite Central Station) and at the Public Library (OBA) on Oosterdokskade. Last-minute offers are announced daily at 8:00; tickets go on sale at noon. The tickets are valid for performances taking place on the same day (matinées excluded).

Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam The current Stadsschouwburg (City Theatre) building dates back to 1894 and is built in a neo-cclassical style. The beautiful main hall (De Grote Zaal) is built in Barok style. The building itself is worthwhile a visit.The Stadsschouwburg is the home of Toneelgroep Amsterdam, which performances are guided with English surtitles on Thursdays. But also the dance performances can easily be visited by English speaking visitors. Stadsschouwburg is part of the Holland Festival. Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ This spectacular building has become Amsterdam’s Concert Hall of the 21st Century, with an exciting, contemporary programme which continually forges links with other eras, styles, cultures and art forms. The Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ shows current musical developments in the form of special series, festivals, multimedia concerts and exhibitions. ABC Treehouse The ABC Treehouse, in the old warehouse of the American Book Center, provides space for meetings, events and exhibitions. Boom Chicago Boom Chicago has mixed sharp writing, quick thinking and high production values to create funny shows and videos. Boom Chicago performs nightly in Amsterdam. Before the show, Boom Chicago serves a delicious dinner. Dinner starts at 18:30 (18:00 and 20:15 on Saturday). Boom Chicago performs at the historic Leidseplein Theater, located in the heart of Amsterdam and is easily accessible by tram, train, bike, car and foot. Paradiso: Concert Hall, Club and Cultural centre The Main Hall has a capacity of 1500 and hosts world famous folk, soul, country, reggae and blues heroes. They also have regular visitors like Maceo Parker and George Clinton, who come back every year to play in the special atmosphere of the old church. The Melkweg is located practically on the Leidseplein square, behind the Stadsschouwburg on the right.
