Public Transport Day(s) Tickets or Amsterdam & Region Day Ticket

Remember that Amsterdam is not very big and if you are healthy and mobile, you will walk a lot instead of taking public transport. Do you want to cover more ground, or if you are less mobile and need to dose your walking activity, then you might be better off buying a 24-, 48-, 72-, or 96-hours GVB public transport ticket.

Since July 2013, the GVB tickets & info office and the VVV offices also sell Amsterdam & Region Day tickets. The Amsterdam & Region day card offers you unlimited travel with bus, tram, and metro in Amsterdam and region, day and night. This public transportation card is valid for GVB and regional carriers Connexxion and EBS. Choose this card if you like to visit Amsterdam as well as surrounding areas, such as Volendam, Marken the Zaanse Schans, Haarlem and so on. The card is also valid in the train.
